Our Story

Leah and David met on a warm August evening during their sophomore year at the University of Michigan. In classic college fashion, David’s fraternity was hosting a highlighter party, and Leah and her sorority sisters got all gussied up to go. When Leah spotted David across the room, she turned to her friend (and future bridesmaid) Sabrina and said, “I want THAT guy.”

Despite David playing hard to get, Leah’s determination was ultimately successful as they made their relationship official two months later.

After graduation, they moved to NYC where David worked in finance and Leah got her Master’s in psychology at NYU.

After two years in New York, they decided to move in together and picked Chicago as the perfect midpoint between New York and Nebraska.  

There, they continued growing their love, eventually expanding it to accommodate their beloved rescue dog, Murphy.

Leah and David currently reside in Lincoln Park in Chicago in a home that’s filled with lots of love, mutual respect, and dog hair.
